To πλαίσιο διαχείρισης της εναέριας κίνησης των εξελιγμένων και αυτόνομων μη επανδρωμένων εναέριων συστημάτων (UAS) αναμένεται να εξελιχθεί σε δύο στάδια. Το πρώτο, είναι αυτό, της Aστικής Eναέριας Kινητικότητας Urban Air Mobility (UAM).

Το δεύτερο, είναι αυτό της Αναπτυγμένης Εναέριας Κινητικότητας Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), αποτελώντας εξέλιξη του πρώτου, σύμφωνα με την εξέλιξη και τις τεχνολογικές αναβαθμίσεις των drones, αλλά και ανάλογα με τη διεύρυνση του εναέριου χώρου κοινής χρήσης, μεταξύ επανδρωμένων και μη επανδρωμένων πτήσεων και της χρήσης κατάλληλων συστημάτων αυτοματισμών από τα drones.
